Good afternoon Loyola families,

Here are a few items of interest I would like to share with you.

Loyola Halloween Information

Our annual Halloween Parade will begin at 1:00 pm on the Primary Blacktop area.  Students are to bring their costumes to school and they will be given time to change into them right before our parade.  Any blood, gore and/or weapons are NOT permitted as part of any costume.  Thank you for your adherence to this policy.  We are looking forward to a fabulous day!

Exciting Curriculum News!

I am pleased to inform all of you that we are doing some fantastic work with our Reading Curriculum here at Loyola!  For the purpose of school-wide alignment, our grade level Professional Learning Communities are working collaboratively with Rachel Doblick, our Literacy Instructional Support Specialist, to create a guaranteed and viable reading curriculum, TK-6.  Through our Reading Workshop Units of Study, teacher teams will be identifying answers to two of the four critical questions that drive our work; What do we want students to know? How will we know they know it?  And that is only the beginning!  Keep your eyes open for more information about this great work!

Have a fantastic weekend!

In service to you,

Richard Julian, Principal
