 Hello Loyola families!

We are off to a great start and already humming along here at Loyola!  Lots of happy faces and hard workers as we begin to engage students and learning.  This year, as a district, we will continue to focus on and refine our practices around Literacy, Communication and Collaboration.

Our students will continue to be engaging in the Reading and Writing Process.  This year we have a new Instructional Support Teacher, Rachel Doblick, who will be working with and coaching teachers to help strengthen their literacy instruction. Great things are already happening!

As you know, Thursdays are early release days and for good reason.  During that time, our teachers work collaboratively in the Professional Learning Communities and focus their work on these four critical questions…

  1. What do we want students to learn?
  2. How will we know if they have learned?
  3. What will we do if they don’t learn?
  4. What will we do if they already know it?

Communication with our Loyola families is extremely important to us.  We will all do our very best to keep the flow of communication efficient and effective.  Please be proactive and be sure to take a few moments to read the communication pieces sent to you.  Lots of important information in there!
